Head north—way north—to Iceland and the Faroes, where landscapes feel plucked from fantasy novels. Hike glaciers and volcanic moonscapes, then soak in the Blue Lagoon’s surreal warmth. In the Faroes, trek cliffsides, discover villages so charming it’s downright suspicious, and meet locals eager to spill island secrets.

Authentic Food
Visit a local farmer’s home—the oldest woodhouse in the Faroe Islands—and savour a locally sourced, home-cooked meal.

Off the Beaten Path
Wander through remote villages and untouched lands, where you’ll witness waterfalls flowing down steep hillsides and puffin colonies.

Luxurious Stays
After a day of hiking, retreat to Iceland’s most luxurious and iconic hotel, The Retreat at the Blue Lagoon.

I was really struck by the stark nature of the Faroe Islands.

I was really struck by the stark nature of the Faroe Islands, similar to what we find in Iceland in some places—barren, treeless, dramatic instances of land rising out of the ocean, many sheep. It is really a beautiful thing to me. I find it so inspiring to see these almost barren landscapes and to learn how people live off the land like that.

Good to know

Food
Food

Faroese cuisine leans heavily into seafood and lamb. Vegan and vegetarian diets can be accommodated with limited options.

Service
Service

The Faroe Islands remain a hidden gem, with tourism infrastructure still evolving. Outside the capital, services are limited, and true luxury lies in experiencing this untouched paradise before the crowds arrive.

Packing
Packing

The Faroe Islands can have variable weather throughout the day, with some wind, rain and cooler temperatures. We recommend packing layers and a Gore-Tex raincoat to stay comfortable and dry.

Why choose a Small Group trip?

Friends for Life

Your fellow travellers are as passionate and curious about the world as you are, which means the conversations and laughs will be as free flowing as your drink of choice. Don't be surprised if your group starts planning a reunion before the trip is done.

Room for Surprises

We love a plan, but we adore a spontaneous moment even more. Whether it’s an impromptu al fresco meal or a moon-lit musical performance, our advice is to expect the unexpected.
