- Difficulty Level
Level 1: Occasional
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain with a few small hills—all very manageable for people trying their first biking trip.
Walking – 6-10 km (4-6 mi.) a day on country lanes, footpaths and coastal or forest trails, all on relatively flat terrain, perhaps with an occasional hill.
Level 2: Recreational
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over terrain that’s relatively flat but will include inclines and the occasional climb or two.
Walking – 8-12 km (5-7 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain, with occasional steeper climbs.
Level 3: Enthusiast
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day in gently rolling countryside, with occasional longer climbs to points that are well worth the effort.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over rolling terrain on a variety of surfaces. Most days, one or two steeper climbs to spectacular viewpoints or places of interest.
Level 4: Avid
Biking – Roughly 50 km (30 mi.) a day in consistently rolling countryside, with repeated climbs and longer options available.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) over terrain that varies between rolling and hilly, with a few steeper climbs.
Level 5: Expert
Biking – 50-60 km (30-45 mi.) a day over both level and tougher, hillier terrain with multiple 100 km (62 mi.) options. The routes are designed for avid cyclists and include plenty of chances to push yourself.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over fairly hilly terrain offering lots of challenges. Routes are along high meadow paths and/or well-maintained cliffside or alpine trails, with a few steep ascents to make you feel invigorated.
Endless Charms of The Cyclades
Discover the surprising variety of the Cyclades islands. Embark on seaside trails connecting whitewashed villages where a beach oasis is never too far for a swim. Set sail to skirt the shores by sea then immerse yourself in culinary and oenological traditions on land. Whether you’re hiking and biking through ancient landscapes or mingling with locals over traditional cuisine, time seemingly slows down as you embrace the island lifestyle.

A scenic cruise across the sea brings us to our hike, destined for a 16thC monastery poised on an island peninsula. Take the rest of the day at your own pace, let your senses guide you.
Explore Sifnos island on foot and lounge in the crystal clear waters before meeting our local friends on a farm for a traditional 'slow food' cooking experience.
The diversity of Paros Island is endless, walk along an ancient trail between mountain towns then hop on a traditional sailboat to explore the coast and nearby island.
On two wheels discover another surprising island full of Byzantine churches and Hellenistic sights. Our final evening is dedicated to Greek culture, sure to be a celebration like no other.
Although our journey has concluded, the memories are yours to keep. We'll say farewell then depart for your onward travels.

I don’t know how B&R does it – the quality of their trips is so consistently high! Just when we think they couldn’t do anything as good as our last trip, they do! Another fantastic experience with B&R.— Carolyn
This trip includes a few rolling bike rides that range in distance between 20 km (9.9 mi) to 35 km (22 mi). Hikes range from 4.2 km (2 mi) to 11 km (6.8 mi) and the terrain will vary. In general, we follow quiet roads along the coast, hike old shepherd trails and walk through charming villages.
