Day 1
Begin your Romanian journey riding through Saxon farmland to Cisnădioara, pausing for lunch at a restored Saxon home beneath one of the region's oldest fortified churches. Continue to the ASTRA Museum, where farmhouses and workshops from across Romania reveal the country's rich regional diversity. This evening, explore Sibiu's fortified squares with a local guide before your first dinner in the heart of the Old Town.

Day 2
Board a train into the Hârtibaciu Valley before riding through a storybook landscape of forests, fields, and fortified churches, pausing for a private lunch in Alma Vii. Continue to Biertan—home to one of the most beautiful medieval churches in Transylvania. End the day at Bethlen Estates with a wine-paired tasting menu that brings the flavours of the region to life.

Day 3
Ride a scenic loop from Dumbrăveni through quiet countryside, past Roma villages, vineyards, and lush meadows, before stopping for lunch at Valea Verde in the village of Cund. This afternoon, visit the medieval city of Sighișoara, birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, for a guided tour and free time to explore and dine at your own pace.

Day 4
Ride through picturesque Transylvanian villages, including Viscri, a globally recognised model for rural preservation, before reaching the medieval town of Făgăraș, home to an impressive citadel. After exploring the fortress, we're off to Matca. This evening, soak in the surroundings over dinner and drinks.

Day 5
Ride into the high mountain world above Matca, through Șirnea and the Fundata highlands—among Romania's highest inhabited villages—before descending into the dramatic Dâmbovicioara Gorge. Pause for a relaxed lunch at a rustic mountain inn on the edge of Piatra Craiului National Park. The afternoon is yours to unwind at Matca's spa, the only one of its kind on this journey.

Day 6
Ride from the mountains toward Poiana Brașov, Romania's classic mountain resort, pausing for coffee before descending into the city for a Mediterranean-inspired lunch. Check into Hotel Schuster, then join a guided walk through Brașov this afternoon, anchored by the soaring Black Church. Tonight, Bran Castle is ours alone: explore its rooms after hours before a theatrical dinner served within its walls.

Day 7
After a leisurely breakfast in Brașov, board the train south to Bucharest, following the Prahova Valley for a scenic 2.5-hour journey to the capital. From here, connect onward to your flight home, or extend your stay to explore Bucharest's Belle Époque architecture and lively food scene.
