Carbon Neutral Trip
In Piemonte, even the hills take their time—rolling gently past vineyards, truffle forests, and villages that seem handpicked by UNESCO. Pedal through sparkling wine country, feast like royalty in the home of Slow Food, and sip Barolo where it’s born. With intimate stays and views that demand lingering, this is biking–and B&R–at its best.

Pedal magnificent cycling routes that weave through hills draped with vineyards, serene river valleys and quiet medieval villages.

Preview the itinerary
No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
Cycle into the riverside town of Rocchette Tanaro for a classic trattoria lunch. We’ll continue through the countryside, conquering one last memorable climb and descent before we reach our peaceful villa. This evening, we'll be joined by a sommelier for an unforgettable wine tasting, followed by dinner in a charming private restaurant.
Activity:
49 km (30 mi.) rolling ride via Rocchetta Tanaro with a challenging, optional final climb | Elevation gain: 619 m (2,030 ft.)
Day 2
Discover Monferrato on bike today cycling through curvaceous vineyards with mountain peak views. We'll stop in Mombaruzzo for lunch at a lovely small production winery, then we'll join a cooking class hosted by a local chef and learn how to make fresh pasta.
Activity:
43 km (27 mi.) loop ride to Cassine and Mombaruzzo | Elevation gain: 576 m (886 ft.)
Day 3
Roll along on a spectacular ride into the Alta Langa, passing villages, vineyards, forests and hazelnut groves on our way to our favourite lunch spot. Embark on a “champions climb” before a magnificent descent into Barolo Langhe. Spend the rest of the afternoon unwinding at the pool before dinner at the hotel’s creative restaurant.
Activity:
56 km (35 mi.) ride from La Villa through the Alta Langa to Casa di Langa | Elevation gain: 1,328 m (4,356 ft.)
Day 4
Pedal through Barolo’s wine production zone and its many villages today, with many options to challenge yourself—including a Century Ride. This evening, join our local historian on a tour of Alba, then wander through town for dinner—perhaps at one of the world’s top 50 restaurants.
Activity:
50 km (31 mi.) loop through the Barolo villages | Elevation gain: 1,094 m (3,589 ft.)
Optional Century Ride | 100 km (62 mi.)
Day 5
Embark on our final ride through stunning panoramas and quaint villages, meeting our local friend for a genuine truffle hunt. Enjoy a picnic lunch before the evening begins with a celebration of our week's adventures at a private family-run winery.
Activity:
32 km (20 mi.) ride to Treiso and Barbaresco | Elevation gain: 440 m (1,433 ft.)
Optional ride | 65 km (40 mi.) | Elevation gain: 1,069 m (3,507 ft.)

Enjoy a farewell breakfast in the peaceful hills, then say arrivederci in Turin.

Good to know

Rides
Our daily routes include plenty of challenging up and downhills. For non-avid cyclists, consider an e-bike for extra support.

Pre and Post trip
This trip ends in Turin, with the option to organize a private drop-off in Milan for continued travels.

Truffle hunt
Due to regional regulations, the truffle hunt on our September departures will be a demonstration rather than an active search.
Why choose a Small Group trip?

An Effortless Journey
Our expert Experience Designers are perfectionists, using first-hand knowledge of routes, restaurants and hotels to create an unforgettable experience. This means all the planning is taken care of for you. All you need to do is enjoy.

Active Exploration
From emerging destinations to iconic sights, B&R trips show you the world in a new way on our expertly developed cycling, walking and hiking routes. Travelling through historic villages and romantic vineyards and up to striking viewpoints, our routes offer a variety of challenges for every activity level.

Friends for Life
Your fellow travellers are as passionate and curious about the world as you are, which means the conversations and laughs will be as free flowing as your drink of choice. Don't be surprised if your group starts planning a reunion before the trip is done.

Room for Surprises
We love a plan, but we adore a spontaneous moment even more. Whether it’s an impromptu al fresco meal or a moon-lit musical performance, our advice is to expect the unexpected.
