Carbon Neutral Trip
Wedged deliciously between the Andes and the Pacific, Chile’s wine country pairs adventure with a splash (or two) of vino. Pedal scenic countryside roads with Pacific panoramas and indulge in dreamy picnics, barrel tastings and chef-led culinary wizardry. We've convinced our winemaking friends to spill their secrets, so bring your thirst for adventure, your refined palate... and maybe stretchy pants.

Sample wines from some of the top winemakers in the country. The quality and complexity of Chilean wines is likely to surprise you.

Day by Day
No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
Rendezvous in Santiago and head due west into Casablanca Valley. Enjoy a tasting at a local winery before setting out on a pleasant ride through vast farmland and eucalyptus groves, eventually reaching our hotel for time to enjoy the pool and amenities before dinner.
Activity:
50 km (31 mi.) ride through gently rolling terrain, tranquil farmland and small villages in the Casablanca Valley
Day 2
Take a loop ride through the stunning San Antonio Valley today with the Andes towering in the background. Pause for a lunchtime wine tasting and horse handling demonstration then, enjoy a walking tour through the UNESCO city of Valparaíso before dinner.
Activity:
38 km (24 mi.) loop ride from the hotel through scenic San Antonio Valley
Day 3
Spend the day pedalling away from vines and emerging onto the coast, waves crashing on your right and mountain views on your left. Stop to sample homemade empanadas at lunch before rolling along to our oceanside hotel to relax or try your hand at surfing. Take in the waves over dinner.
Activity:
49 km (31 mi.) winding and rolling route that finishes running parallel to the Pacific
Day 4
From the coast to the countryside ride to your secret picnic lunch destination with views of the Andes with the option of a century ride. Reach a new hotel immersed in the vines. This evening, we'll be hosted by our friend for a magical night at their food and wine studio.
Activity:
100 km (62 mi.) Century Ride through the heart of agricultural Chile, past small villages and hamlets
Day 5
Ride past Santa Cruz into the Apalta Valley—the country's premium winemaking region. Stop in at one of our favourite wineries for a tasting along with lunch before continuing to your luxurious stay at the Viña Vik, where winemaking and hospitality has been mastered.
Activity:
55 km (40 mi.) gently rolling ride through farmland and orchards
Day 6
Set out on a loop ride through the Millahue landscape dominated by estancias. This afternoon, discover Vina Vik's estate by foot, bike, or horse after sampling the wine. Later you'll find a special final night celebration at the stunning property.
Activity:
55 km (29 mi.) loop ride in Millahue valley of glorious riding through well-manicured villages and orchards
Day 7
After a relaxing morning, we'll say goodbye over lunch, then wish you buen viaje!

Good to know

Wine
Given the emphasis on wine, this trip is perfect for those who enjoy savouring fine drinks.

Pre and post trip
While this trip picks up and drops off in Santiago, we do not visit the city sites. Be sure to book some extra time here or use it as the perfect launch point to visit Patagonia, Atacama or Easter Island

No jet lag
If you're travelling from North America, there is little time difference, meaning you can hit the ground running at trip start.
Why choose a Small Group trip?

An Effortless Journey
Our expert Experience Designers are perfectionists, using first-hand knowledge of routes, restaurants and hotels to create an unforgettable experience. This means all the planning is taken care of for you. All you need to do is enjoy.

Active Exploration
From emerging destinations to iconic sights, B&R trips show you the world in a new way on our expertly developed cycling, walking and hiking routes. Travelling through historic villages and romantic vineyards and up to striking viewpoints, our routes offer a variety of challenges for every activity level.

Friends for Life
Your fellow travellers are as passionate and curious about the world as you are, which means the conversations and laughs will be as free flowing as your drink of choice. Don't be surprised if your group starts planning a reunion before the trip is done.

Room for Surprises
We love a plan, but we adore a spontaneous moment even more. Whether it’s an impromptu al fresco meal or a moon-lit musical performance, our advice is to expect the unexpected.
