If Mother Nature had favourites, the Dolomites might top her list—misty peaks, absurdly pretty villages, and trails ranging from blissfully lackadaisical to ambitiously sweaty. On this self-guided adventure, hike at your leisure, savour rustic culinary delights, and mingle with locals who practically invented hospitality. Warning: real life feels alarmingly dull after this.
