Burgundy Self-Guided Walking

Self-guided trips combine the hallmarks of any B&R itinerary (think excellent hotels, amazing local connections and expertly planned routes) with the freedom of pacing each day exactly the way you like.

Slip into your true vintage

Can’t spare five decades to build up neighbourly goodwill with Burgundian locals? No need—you can borrow some of ours. We’ve reserved rooms in gorgeous hotels, mapped out exquisite walking routes, hooked you up with famous vineyards, and lined up a local wine-making friend for a dégustation. Just tell ’em B&R sent you—or if you’d like, we can call ahead. Dinner at Le Montrachet? Done.

Level 2

For the most part, you’ll walk on gently rolling terrain, although there is the occasional steep climb or descent to take on. As the terrain can be rocky, footwear with good ankle support is essential. On average, we walk 10-13km daily, with longer options available on some days.
