Everything that makes Italy loveable is magnified in Sicily
There are its many dialects, the dozens of pasta shapes and scenery that span from dry-stone fields of twist-trunked carob trees to sparkling salt pans and blue lagoons. It has more standing Greek temples than Greece and Arab quarters that feel closer to Tunis than to Rome. More than all these riches, what makes Sicily unforgettable is the warmth of the welcome. Perhaps because they have had millennia of practice. Discover Sicily on a private, bespoke trip—tailored-made your way.
Discover the possibilities:
Sicily by bike
Pedal past shiny black volcanic beds laced with vibrant green vineyards and bursting with the local grapes along the foothills of Mount Etna. Ride through the Plemmirio nature reserve, then enjoy the afternoon snorkelling and swimming among the panoramic views of Siracusa Bay. Bike the beautiful countryside to Palazzolo Acreide, a fantastic UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the next day, spin downhill through the breathtaking Monti Iblei Valley to the late-Baroque town of Scicli.
Walking in Sicily
Visit lively Baroque towns, walk seaside trails and finish high in the Mediterranean sky on the upper slopes of Mount Etna to join a volcanic expert for a ramble along the black lava rocks and lunar landscape. In the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Necropolis of Pantalica, hike rocky trails back into ancient history in search of Necropolis tombs, cave dwellings and a former Byzantine village.
Sicily Culinary & Culture
Join our friend Concetto in his almond orchard, go digging for truffles with our local expert and visit regional producers to learn about internationally sought-after Sicilian ingredients like aromatic herbs, almonds, creamy ricotta and Modica chocolate. Savour plates of seafood, pasta, caponata and glasses of bold Sicilian wines, and learn the secrets of Sicilian cuisine yourself during a cooking lesson in a private home.
Sicilian Grand Tour: Art, history & culture
Gain deeper insights into Sicily's history, art and culture on personalized tours and visits. The Val di Noto is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our knowledgable guides take you through some of our favourites—like Ragusa, Modica, Noto and Siracusa—to marvel at Baroque-style architecture, charming squares and mesmerizing cathedrals.
