Trek With Primates of All Shapes & Sizes

Gazing deep into the eyes of primates is an intense and humbling experience; the connection is profound and their stories are rich. While the gorillas of the Virunga Mountains are the rock stars of Rwanda—and truly, they do rock—the country’s diverse primate wildlife invites you to explore some of its most breathtaking landscapes. Hike through ancient equatorial rainforests in Nyungwe, tracking charismatic chimpanzees as they soar through the canopy. Keep an eye on the treetops for energetic colobus monkeys and listen for the distinctive calls of white-bearded L'Hoest's monkeys at daybreak. And don’t miss the opportunity to encounter gorillas in their misty, volcanic mountain homes, ensuring an unforgettable journey into the heart of Rwanda’s wildlife.

Our experience has forever touched me, no other trip to Rwanda will be the same.

Our experience in Rwanda has forever touched me. While there are times one needs to step away from daily life and take an ‘easy’ trip, to really travel and be forever moved is special! I believe we thought we were going to spend time with the magnificent silverbacks, and magnificent they are, but our time spent with the local communities was deeply enriching—they have showed us a path forward for hope. We also loved our local guides. No other trip to Rwanda will be the same.
