Good to know

Airport
There are currently no direct flights to Provence from the US. Marseille Provence Airport is the closest—or Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, followed by a 2h40m train ride to Avignon TGV station.

Time of year
Lavender blooms in Provence from June through July, however the best time to see it is between mid to late June and early July. It’s important to note that these are particularly hot months and a popular time for tourism in Provence.

Post trip
If you’d like to extend your trip with a seaside stay, the Côte d’Azur is a perfect option, just a 3-hour journey from classic Provence.
