The Digital & Content Strategist at B&R will be an individual who possesses a unique blend of creative storytelling and strategic thinking. In this role, you will get to use your analytical and strategic skills to guide the creation and delivery of effective content across all our digital channels –website, blogs, emails, itineraries and social media.You will adapt B&R’s effective and long-established brand voice to craft copy that is captivating and engaging enough to make the world’s most discerning travellers feel compelled to book a B&R trip. In addition to a writerly wit, you have an eye for imagery and excel at combining words with photography to create marketing pieces and editorial packages that both entertain and engage your audience. Meeting deadlines and multitasking both come naturally to you, allowing you to juggle multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
Responsibilities
- Own SEO strategy and execution in partnership with Performance Marketing;
- Write copy and create content that will be used across multiple digital marketing channels, including email, website, blog, itineraries, and social media;
- Perform content, usability, and social media audits of our competitive content assets across all digital channels;
- Use consumer analytics and insight to determine the best way to engage users, increase customer loyalty, generate leads, and measure brand awareness;
- Analyze relevant data to improve the content and digital strategy for blogs, websites, social media, or email campaigns;
- Conduct customer journey mapping exercises to better inform digital content efforts;
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish and articulate internal and external key messages, and ensure that content is aligned accordingly;
- Define social content strategy, direct and coach Social Media Specialist.
- Content audits, data-driven decision-making, and cross-channel storytelling
- Use understanding of SEO, personas, keyword research, information architecture, and usability best practices to plan out the right content opportunities;
- Set up and provide content performance reports for the team to review and assess.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of the nuances of online writing, including some familiarity with on-page SEO;
- Data storytelling, cultural curiosity, and ability to lead multi-channel campaigns.
- Strong eye for travel photography; able to source and select the perfect image to pair with your copy;
- Able to multitask and simultaneously manage multiple projects;
- Enthusiastic, and professional attitude;
- Strong comprehension of English grammar, syntax and spelling; and
Required Experience & Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in communications, advertising or marketing agency;
- Two (2) to five (5) years of related work experience in copywriting/editing, preferably in an advertising or marketing agency;
- SEO, luxury travel familiarity, and digital publishing experience
- The ability to quickly condense elaborate and complex ideas into concise, compelling copy;
- Expert language skills including strong understanding of sales and marketing techniques;
- Experience working with MS suite of tools; and
- Familiarity with WordPress and Photoshop is valued.

This is a hybrid role based in our Toronto office.
