Explore the 'land of a thousand hills'

After meeting our guides, we’ll catch a quick flight westward to Kamembe. Feel the pulse and heart of Rwanda as we begin walking through local communities and along well-trodden paths. After a gentle up climb, we’ll arrive at One &amp; Only Nyungwe House for a relaxing afternoon and dinner.&nbsp;

Head deep into the forest on a canopy walk exploring the Igishigishigi Trail, crossing suspension bridges with incredible views over the forest canopy. Then we’re off to the Giskrua Tea Factory for a tour and infusion tasting. This evening, we’ll visit the Africa Parks Headquarters for an insider look at how the organization is managing Nyungwe Park.

Embark on a chimpanzee tracking adventure, wandering through the forest and listening for vocalizations to spot these incredible primates. Once spotted, we’ll spend up to an hour observing them. The rest of the afternoon is ours to enjoy the beautiful hotel property before regrouping for a tea ceremony and dinner.&nbsp;

We’re off to the coast of the vast Lake Kivu today, embarking on a short walk and arriving at Cleo Lodge in time for a late lunch. Later this afternoon, we’ll regroup for a sunset cocktail on the lake, admiring the fishermen as they head out for the night.&nbsp;

Our walk begins in Kinunu, where bright green coffee estates blanket the surrounding hillsides. While we walk, we’ll hear about the coffee washing stations speckled across the hillsides and the economic impact the stations have on local farmers. Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner on the terrace at the hotel.&nbsp;

We’re off to Musanze today on a 4-hour drive to Sabyinyo. Following lunch, we’ll leave the lodge to stroll through the local communities. This evening, we’ll be joined by a representative from Gorilla Doctors and learn about the vital conservation efforts for primates.

Head out early this morning for a full day of gorilla tracking in the Virunga Mountain Range. With our expert trackers, we’ll make our way to the trailhead in search of family groups of Silverback gorillas—the sight of these primates is exhilarating. Tonight, we'll enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Choose between another gorilla trek, setting off in search of a different family, or a hike out at Twin Lakes, embarking on an easygoing lakeside walk and picnic lunch. We’ll then regroup at the lodge for a final celebration dinner, reflecting on an incredible journey in Rwanda.

After a relaxing morning at the lodge, we’ll drive back to Kigali for onward travels.

Tracking chimpanzees means we will be off-trail at times on terrain that can be steep, slippery and muddy while passing through thick vegetation. It is imperative that you feel confident as a hiker on all types of terrain.

Some days will start early, around 4-6 AM, to catch flights and allow for full days tracking chimpanzees and gorillas.

Over nine days, you’ll explore Rwanda’s lush landscapes, home to tea and coffee cooperatives, rich history, and vibrant culture. A quick flight then whisks you to the Faroe Islands, where dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls frame charming, secluded villages. Trek the breathtaking “Lake Above the Ocean” and witness the legend of the "Giant and the Witch," still stuck at sea.&nbsp;Explore the historic village of Kirkjubøur and meet local farmers to discover the secrets of life on these isolated lands. Head north—way north—to Iceland and the Faroes, where landscapes feel plucked from fantasy novels. Hike glaciers and volcanic moonscapes, then soak in the Blue Lagoon’s surreal warmth. In the Faroes, trek cliffsides, discover villages so charming it’s downright suspicious, and meet locals eager to spill island secrets.

Trails through mystical lands

Our adventure begins in Thingveiller National Park, located in the dramatic rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Hike past steaming vents, sulphur pits and bubbling warm rivers with dramatic mountain backdrops. Tonight, we’ll dine in the award-winning restaurant at our stunning hotel.

Head east to Thorsmork and the north side of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Here, we’ll hike across dramatic landscapes to reach the site where floodwaters gushed out from under the glacier. Enjoy an outdoor picnic with incredible views before we head to Hotel Ranga, our home for the next two nights.

Equipped with crampons, ice axes and an expert local guide, we’ll set off on a hike across the Sólheimajökull glacier. We’ll learn about the effects of climate change on this educational and exciting journey. Later, visit the black-sand beaches in Vis and the stunning Dyrhólaey. Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Today we’ll discover the mesmerizing Reykjanes Peninsula and Geopark, wandering along the rugged coastline with volcanic craters, bubbling mud pools and steaming hot springs. We’ll pause for lunch in a charming fishing village then head to the Retreat Hotel, located in the Blue Lagoon. Tonight, we’ll dine at Moss, a Michelin-star restaurant.

Catch a quick flight to the Faroe Islands. Upon arrival, set off to meet a local farmer in Gasadalur to learn about life in the secluded village. Then, embark on the “Lake Above the Ocean” hike to Trælanípan, soaking in the stunning panoramic views of the cliffs and sea. Tonight, we’ll dine at one of Tórshavn’s best restaurants.

Venture to the Saksun, a remote village with only 11 residents. Set off to explore the settlement surrounded by mountains and waterfalls flowing down the steep hillsides. We’ll be welcomed into the home of a Faroese farmer for a hearty lunch before heading back to Tórshavn for the evening.

A quick ferry ride brings us to Mykines Island, home to puffin colonies and awe-inspiring landscapes. After hiking to the best viewpoints, we’ll stop for lunch at a local cafe. Then, we’re off to see the rock formations of Tindhólmur and Drangarnir and a boat ride to explore the caves where seabirds nest. Tonight, we’ll dine in the historical village of Kirkjubøur at a local farmer’s home for a special final night celebration.

After one final breakfast, we'll say goodbye in Tórshavn.

From starry skies at Lake Tekapo to jet boating in Queenstown, Aotearoa delivers magic, mountains, and more “wow” than your camera can handle.

Cycle along the South Island

Our first ride begins along the stunning Port Hills, with panoramic views of the Southern Alps and the Pacific Ocean surrounding us. After lunch, we’re off on a (weather dependent) private charter flight to Lake Tekapo, witnessing New Zealand’s highest peak from above—Aoraki/Mt. Cook. Lakestone Lodge is our first exclusively booked hotel where we’ll enjoy a fabulous welcome dinner and a relaxing first night of the trip.

Setting off from the lodge, we’re riding north along one of New Zealand’s most famous trails—the Alps to Ocean—while surrounded by majestic mountain peaks. Enjoying a lakeside picnic lunch, we’re then off for a visit and wander around the Church of Good Shepherd in Tekapo before returning to the lodge for an evening under the stars.

Choose between two incredible routes today—cycling along gravel roads and the Alps to Ocean Trail around Lake Pukaki, or along the paved Pukaki Canal Road toward the High Country salmon farm. Next, we’ll head to our next exclusive lodge for dinner, the Lindis Lodge—one of the country’s most impressive luxury properties.

Following a hearty, view-filled breakfast and after a short transfer down the road, we’ll head out on an early morning bike ride, reaching Pip Cameron’s beautiful high- country station for a tour and home-cooked lunch. Making the most of such a beautiful spot, we’re then back to the lodge to immerse ourselves in what’s on offer—be that some additionally-booked activities like 4WD or fly fishing, or perhaps it's simply taking the stunning views from the lodge hot tub.

We're off to the beautiful lakeside town of Wānaka today. Following a transfer over the beautiful Lindis Pass, we’re off on a ride along the Luggate Creek Track, cycling along to the stunning shores of Lake Hawea. From here, we’ll head to our next exclusive property, Whare Kea Lodge, a beautiful property situated above the lake with sweeping views back to town and the mountains beyond.

Starting the day with a short drive out to the Matukituki Bridge, our Wānaka jet boats will be waiting to take us on a thrilling, scenic boat ride to the upper Matukituki River. Later, hike along the Rocky Mountain and Diamond Lake escarpment, with stunning panoramic views accompanying us.

Explore the surrounding Wānaka area today, riding along the lakeshore trail, the Clutha River Trail and around Mount Barker, reaching Whare Kea. Back at the lodge, we’ll enjoy a taste of local cuisine over drinks and canapés prepared by a private chef.

Our ride begins in Lowburn - along the Kawarau arm of Lake Dunstan to the Bannockburn Bridge—and passes by lovely wineries and olive groves. After a fantastic ride and lunch, we’ll make our way to Queenstown and the historic Hulbert House—our final exclusive property of the trip. Should time allow, explore the famous mountain town before we regroup for a spectacular final night celebration.

After one final breakfast, we’ll say goodbye and prepare for onward travel. Ka Kite Ano!
