We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Day by Day
It's off to Somalisa Acacia Camp in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve. Spend your days here adjusting to safari life—morning game drives, afternoon naps, swimming, meditating, the choice is yours.
Rise early to welcome the crisp African dawn with a fresh cup of coffee! Spot the elephants, buffalo, zebra and cheetahs on your morning game drive. Don't be surprised if dinner is interrupted by the distant call of a lion.
Sneak in some pool time while the kids make new friends by the watering hole—the options abound again! Spend your afternoon birdwatching and the evening stargazing.
More game drives and relaxation overlooking the grasslands are in order today. At times, the animals may even wander onto your campground—keep an eye out for friendly elephants!
Hop on a short flight to your next lodge at Victoria Falls—arguably Zimbabwe's grandest attraction (certainly its loudest). Spend your days nestled along the Zambezi River getting to know the area.
You could take your adventure to the next level today with a white-water rafting trip or zip-lining experience in town.
Relax by the infinity pool or take a guided tour of the Falls. Be sure to leave some time for an evening game drive, spending the night with some of Zimbabwe's more nocturnal residents.
Squeeze in one final safari activity before making your way back to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg for your evening departure home. Safe onward journey!
