We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

With lush rolling hills, medieval towns and meandering roads, Tuscany is a biker’s idyll. There is something eminently peaceful in riding through hilltop towns that have stood watch here since the Middle Ages, passing vines tended by generations of winemakers and savouring traditional cuisine made from the freshest and tastiest local ingredients. Let the fantastic Podere Panico play host to your family; gather for delicious meals from the original forno oven, learn to make authentic homemade pasta, and discover the region alongside local experts, all from the comfort of your own private Tuscan home.

Sitting proudly on a hilltop in the Tuscan countryside, Podere Panico is surrounded by sweeping vistas and rolling medieval hills. Restored to perfection, each cotto floor tile, clay roof tile, and wooden beam in Paníco has been saved and brought back to life from the original structure. National Geographic TravelerThe guides, Sarah and Giacomo, were extraordinary. Fantastic people, very warm yet very professional. Most memorable moment was cycling in the rain and feeling completely secure. In all honestly, this experience was probably one of the best my husband and I have ever had.
