Day by Day
No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
Embark on a scenic morning hike from the Dead Sea into a narrowing canyon. In Madaba visit remains of an ancient world mosaic map of the Holy Land created in 560 AD.
Day 2
After a traditional lunch in a 15th c. stone village, hike the rocky Dana Biosphere Reserve terrain to learn about local traditions and endangered species.
Day 3
Start at the Roman copper mines and explore the natural wonders of Wadi Ghuweir. Hike through river beds among giant palms and smooth rocky cliffs. En route, enjoy a relaxing Bedouin-style picnic.
Day 4
Step through the sandstone chasm that leads the way to the ancient city of Petra. At the end of the Siq, enjoy a marvelous view of the astounding Treasury, a Hellenistic facade carved in the cliffs.
Day 5
From "Little Petra," walk the paths of ancient Petra overlooking the Rift Valley. Up in the hills, end at the Al-Deir Monastery, a similar facade to the Treasury, yet larger. At sundown, explore Petra by candlelight.
Day 6
Cruise over the desert dunes of Wadi Rum by 4X4 with your local Beduin driver to explore a fascinating history. Enjoy an easy canyon walk before celebrating your final evening of the trip over a magical feast.
Day 7
After breakfast, we say goodbye. Choose to take a group transfer for your onward travel or extend your trip to stay a bit longer.
