No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
Hop in a 4X4 and cruise through the Icelandic countryside, where you'll warm up your climbing legs on Mt. Esja. Then visit the Settlement Centre in the charming coastal town of Borgarnes for fascinating insights into the history of Icelandic settlement.
Day 2
Arrive in Thingvellir National Park to hike along the paths less travelled. Then adventure calls for both the kids and the parents: a once-in-a-lifetime experience to snorkel through Silfra, a rift between North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Day 3
Explore the geothermal landscape of Mt. Hengill on foot, pass by steaming vents and bubbling warm rivers graced with dramatic mountain scenery. Then the entire family will feel like Icelandic royalty as you meet your noble horse for an afternoon ride.
Day 4
Thorsmork (Thor's Forest) is your fascinating destination today. Visit Eyjafjallajokull volcano to observe the stunning aftermath of a 2010 eruption.
Day 5
With crampons beneath you and ice axes in hand, embark on a walk along Solheimajokull glacier for an exciting and educational experience. Then visit the small town of Vik to witness its magical black-sand beaches, the stunning Dyrhólaey promontory and maybe a puffin or two!
Day 6
The week's final visit brings you to the Lava Center, an interactive, high-tech educational exhibition. Afterwards, we'll say our goodbyes then you'll depart for your onward travels. Farewell!
