Carbon Neutral Trip
In the Cotswolds, quaint British charm reaches its peak, gardens go lavishly rogue, and you can't help but feel like you've just stepped out of a time machine. Wander storybook lanes from sleepy Snowshill to lofty lookouts, indulge in cozy pub meals and strolls through Roman-influenced Bath, every step feels delightfully out of sync with modern life.

No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
From Oxford, we will be driven to the sleepy village of Snowshill. Take a scenic walk through fields and woods, arriving in Broadway village for lunch. Enjoy a leisurely hike to Broadway Tower with panoramic views before settling into a farm-to-table dinner.
Activity:
5 km (3 mi.) walk from Snowshill to Broadway in the morning
5 km (3 mi.) to Broadway Tower in the afternoon
Day 2
Start today's hike at Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. We'll pass Belas Knap, a neolithic burial monument, on the way to the ancient town of Winchcombe for a pub lunch. This afternoon, explore Sudeley Castle and visit the tomb of King Henry's final wife. Tonight, we’ll dine at a Sunday Times Pub of the Year.
Activity:
8 km (5 mi.) walk in Winchcombe including Cleeve Hill and Belas Knap Long Barrow
Day 3
Follow winding footpaths in Sapperton village, a stronghold of the late Victorian Arts & Crafts Movement. Explore a historic estate and the Golden Valley, then pause at a cozy pub for lunch. Later, we’ll sit down for a wonderful dinner at our country manor hotel.
Activity:
7 or 9 km (4 or 6 mi.) walk in the Golden Valley, a hub of the Arts & Crafts Movement
Day 4
Set out on foot this morning to explore the bucolic Slad Valley countryside, passing iconic locations from the classic novel, Cider with Rosie. Along the way back to Painswick, we’ll visit the Rococo Gardens, a perfectly manicured yet whimsical escape built in the 1740s. Enjoy a leisurely dinner in the village on your own this evening.
Activity:
10 km (6 mi.) walk in Slad Valley with rolling hills and scenes from a classic English novel
Day 5
Bid farewell to the Cotswolds and head to the outskirts of Bath, where we’ll walk into the city over farmer’s fields and the 18th c. Kennet & Avon Canal. Enjoy lunch on your own, then we’ll regroup to visit the Roman Baths from 800 BC with our local expert. Tonight, indulge in a final celebratory evening.
Activity:
9 km (6 mi.) walk from the countryside into Bath city centre via the Avon Canal
Day 6
After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to the Bath Spa railway station for your onward journey.
