Carbon Neutral Trip
Walk the Camino’s best bits, zig-zagging past sleepy Roman villages, whispering eucalyptus forests and views worth every uphill step. Discover Galicia’s wildly underrated coast—ruggedly beautiful and delightfully drama-free. Reward your daily feats with epic panoramas, iconic pilgrim stops and enough vino tinto to fuel the soul-searching. Heaven can wait; for now, Santiago beckons.

Preview the itinerary
No two trips are ever the same, but this will give you a taste of what your journey will be like.
Day 1
We’ll begin our walk along the Camino, leading us over rolling mountains to the Cruz de Ferro and downhill to the village of Molinaseca. Pause for lunch, then head deeper into the lush wine region of El Bierzo. Enjoy an organic wine tasting followed by a fabulous meal for our first dinner together.
Activity:
12 km (8 mi.) walk to the Camino's iconic Iron Cross | Elevation gain: 423 m (1,387 ft.)
Day 2
Venture to Galicia via o Cebreiro, a stunning mountain village, and walk up to the sanctuary of O Cebreiro. Pause for lunch in front of the mystic church of Santa Maria, then we’re off to our gorgeous hotel. This evening, we’ll tour a 16th c. college before we indulge in a Galician dinner at the Palacio de Sober’s private mansion.
Activity:
12 km (7 mi.) pilgrimage trail walk in O’ Cebreiro | Elevation gain: 680 m (2,230 ft.)
Day 3
In the heart of the Ribera Sacra, discover a fertile land once favoured by monks due to its previous difficulty to access. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch and a tasting at a local winery and witness the spectacular production. Relax and enjoy the tranquil hotel property before we regroup for dinner.
Activity:
8 km walk (5 mi.) Ribera Sacra loop | Elevation gain: 265 m (869 ft.)
Day 4
Our journey today leads us into the impressive shadow of the medieval Cathedral de Santiago—the legendary resting spot of St. James the Apostle. Continue waking to Monte do Gozo, where we’ll meet our friend for a tour of the UNESCO-World Heritage Site and a tapas-style lunch.
Activity:
12 km (7 mi.) walk from O Paio to Santiago, via the Mount of Joy | Elevation gain: 142 m (500 ft.)
Day 5
Our walk begins along Galicia’s rugged coastline from Playa Langosteria to Cape Finsterre, a point that was once considered the end of the earth. Continue exploring less travelled paths, then we’ll be driven to our final pilgrim’s destination, the Parador de Costa da Morte. Tonight, raise your glass to our pilgrimage over one final dinner.
Activity:
12 km (7 mi.) rugged coastal walk along the Costa de la Muerte to km 0 of the Camino and back into town | Elevation gain: 273 m (900 ft.)
Day 6
After one last hearty breakfast, you’ll be driven back to Santiago for onward travels. Buen Camino Peregrino!

Good to know

Accommodation
The Camino de Santiago offers simpler accommodation, which does not always include twin beds. B&R has access to the best in the region, where luxury presents itself in the form of local charm, comfort and great service.

Packing
Hiking shoes are not required for the Camino de Santiago. We’d recommend packing hybrid/trail shoes.

Getting there/home
We recommend arriving in Madrid before the trip and taking the high-speed train to Leon. After the trip, we recommend flying home from Santiago airport.

Friends for Life
Your fellow travellers are as passionate and curious about the world as you are, which means the conversations and laughs will be as free flowing as your drink of choice. Don't be surprised if your group starts planning a reunion before the trip is done.

Room for Surprises
We love a plan, but we adore a spontaneous moment even more. Whether it’s an impromptu al fresco meal or a moon-lit musical performance, our advice is to expect the unexpected.
