Day by Day
Rendezvous in Bariloche and explore the pristine hiking trails, stopping en route to sample Argentina's famous yerba mate tea. Lunch is at a fabulous brewery, accompanied by a fun-filled lesson in local beer.
Boat across the sparkling waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Hike the woodlands through winding trails, before taking a break lakeside to enjoy lunch. Tonight, prepare for an introduction to Patagonia wines.
After breakfast, kayak into some of the most remote areas in Patagonia and gawk at the spectacular Andes views. Then, set out on a 5-hour hike, rewarded with a chocolate and whiskey tasting on the lake.
Journey through Patagonia's stunning Seven Lakes. En route, learn to craft handmade chocolates with a local family before arriving in the charming lakeside town of San Martin de los Andes for a lovely dinner.
Set out on an incredible hike through the Araucaria trees, with views of snow-capped volcanoes in the distance. Learn about the unique culture of the region from our Mapuche friends over lunch.
Float down the Pucon river, stopping to stroll around the lake and meet with some of the local artisans. Visit a Swiss-inspired cheese making venue before this evening’s final dinner beneath the southern sky.
After breakfast, it is time to say farewell. We will drive you to the Temuco airport to catch your onward flights home or to your next destination.

This trip is multi-active, so the level will vary depending on the day. Activities include walking distances anywhere from 3–12 km (1.5-7.5 mi.) over mixed terrain, kayaking in calm lake waters for up to 3 hours and more. There will always be alternative options and support along the way.

Walking Sticks & Hip Holsters
Included with all walking trips are Leki telescoping walking sticks and custom-made padded hip holsters, which comfortably carry one full half-litre water bottle. And while the walking sticks get “recycled” for use by another B&R traveller, the holsters are yours to keep at trip’s end.

Spend more time in Patagonia
Chances are you will want to spend more time in Argentina before your trip or more time in Chile afterward. We have several recommendations for where to stay and what to do in Buenos Aires, including guided tours, tango classes, and hotel stays. From Temuco, you may want to continue to Chile’s prestigious wine country or head to the very north for a completely different experience in the Atacama desert.
