Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain with a few small hills—all very manageable for people trying their first biking trip.
Walking – 6-10 km (4-6 mi.) a day on country lanes, footpaths and coastal or forest trails, all on relatively flat terrain, perhaps with an occasional hill.
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over terrain that’s relatively flat but will include inclines and the occasional climb or two.
Walking – 8-12 km (5-7 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain, with occasional steeper climbs.

Biking – 50-60 km (30-45 mi.) a day over both level and tougher, hillier terrain with multiple 100 km (62 mi.) options. The routes are designed for avid cyclists and include plenty of chances to push yourself.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over fairly hilly terrain offering lots of challenges. Routes are along high meadow paths and/or well-maintained cliffside or alpine trails, with a few steep ascents to make you feel invigorated.
Discover the diversity and magic of South East Asia in this immersive adventure that touches Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Vietnam is as charming and picturesque as the first time we visited more than a decade ago and most importantly, the people remain the same: gracious, warm, and infinitely inviting. Marvel at the markets, pagodas and colonial architecture of Hanoi and cycle past its perfectly-tended rice paddies in the countryside. Next up is laid-back Laos, home to the vibrant mosaics and saffron-clad monks of Luang Prabang. Onwards to Cambodia, where the mighty temple complex of Angkor Wat awaits. Board the Aqua Mekong to cruise the Delta back to Vietnam where you’ll wrap up your journey in Saigon, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

REQUEST A QUOTEUpon exiting the airport, you will be whisked to your hotel in central Hanoi. Before dinner, take a tour of the city’s bomb shelter that protected guests during the American War.
Visit a local market followed by a cyclo-ride (a bike-propelled rickshaw) to experience the city’s historic architecture and delightfully chaotic street life.
Take a short drive to Ninh Binh. Bike along quiet roads and paths and stop for walks through the local villages to get a glimpse into daily life.
Stop for lunch in Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam during the 10thC and 11thC. After lunch at a Buddhist Temple, enjoy time at leisure to explore and pop by the surrounding temples.
Opt to head out for one last bike ride in Ninh Binh before you head back to Hanoi for your flight for Laos. Dinner tonight is accompanied by a traditional Lao Baci ceremony.
Cycle a scenic ride alongside the Mekong and boat to the nearby Pak Ou cave. This afternoon, venture out for a walking tour of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Rise early today to join in the extraordinary ritual of the monks’ morning prayer. Walk through the morning market and then head to the Tad Kouang Si waterfalls for breakfast.
Venture into the countryside and explore the local Khmer temples of present-day Cambodia before diving into the ancient Kingdom with a visit to the mighty Angkor Wat.
Delve deep into the Bayon Temple, one of the finest examples of classical Khmer architecture. With the afternoon at your leisure, you can indulge at your hotel’s spa or lounge by the pool.

Drive northwest of Saigon to the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a complex created to protect the Viet Cong guerrillas from the French sweeps. Return to Saigon to tour the War Remnants Museum.
Pedal through the picturesque countryside, passing rice paddies, small villages and an ancient bridge along the way. Take a guided tour of Hue, Vietnam’s ‘Forbidden City’.
Dine on a home-cooked meal at the house of a relative of the Nguyen Dynasty, In their courtyard, learn about the philosophy behind the ancient art of feng shui.
Gear up for a ride along the coast, travelling below the famous ‘Pass of the Clouds’. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An and its diverse architecture and streetscapes.
Experience Hoi An’s Ancient Town and dine on a local breakfast of ‘pho’ in the market. On a sunset bike ride, get your hands dirty help the villagers water and hoe their vegetable beds.
Head to the Hoi An market and watch the women haggle over the day’s catch. Pedal past garden villages and bobbing boats to a riverside cooking lesson in Vietnamese cuisine.
