We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Pedal England's southwest peninsula
Craggy moorland, fresh seafood and gold-sand beaches await on this biking journey of the ‘English Riviera.’ Basing ourselves in Devon and Cornwall, we’ll cycle along quiet trails, passing through picture-perfect villages and chic coastal towns. Lost gardens, breathtaking estuaries and old fishing ports will be but a few of our discoveries before we end our days in luxury accommodations, either shrouded by greenery or overlooking the sea.

We never wanted to be the biggest travel company in the world, just the best.
— George Butterfield
I don’t know how B&R does it – the quality of their trips is so consistently high! Just when we think they couldn’t do anything as good as our last trip, they do! Another fantastic experience with B&R.— Carolyn Zaslaw
This trip is appropriate for travelers who enjoy going for a good ride and can handle an incline or two. The terrain we cover is varied. We’ll enjoy some gently rolling hills, with wonderful downhills and a few climbs which will be a bit more demanding. Rewarding views are guaranteed. Daily distances range from 20 to 100 km (12.5 to 62 mi.) and options for shorter or longer rides are available on all days.
“I ride my bike once or twice a month and am comfortable on two wheels.”
