We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.
“I can’t say I really ‘work out,’ but I’m in good shape and am relatively active.”
“I enjoy a good walk or ride, and feel comfortable while on the move.”
“I get moving at least once a week, and don’t mind a little sweat.”
“I get moving a few times per week and enjoy some exertion.”
“I want to feel invigorated each day and going hard is how I like to do that.”
A legendary escape
This remote region has some of the planet’s most incredible vistas—and it’s seen by precious few. Be among those who have walked the windswept steppes and glaciers above crystal clear lakes as condors patrol the skies (just keep an eye out for your sandwich). Dive into the history and culture of Puerto Natales from The Singular Patagonia, where you’ll spend your days hiking, horseback riding and getting to know the local gauchos. Then, head north to discover the Torres del Paine, which can be seen from what will be your villa’s window at Awasi. At day’s end? Take a load off at these out-of-this-world lodges and sample some of the finest dining experiences in all of Chile.

Day by Day
Arrive at The Singular in Puerto Bories and take time to explore your surroundings. Check out the unique bar and spa, then join your expedition coordinator to discuss activity options for the days ahead.
Choose from the lodge's many activities: take a glacier walk, embark on an epic hike, cycle along the Canal Señoret—the options are endless. After, warm up in the Singular's sauna, followed by one of the finest dining experiences in all of Chile.
Settle into your new Awasi villa (sublime views of Torres del Paine included!). Hike the Sierra Contreras and take in the incredible panoramas from a higher perspective, as the regal condors circle above.
Spend the next three days taking advantage of the activities on offer at Awasi. Local guides and 4x4 vehicles are always available, so you're free to explore as you please. Your villa's outdoor wood-fired hot tub will be waiting for you at the end of each day.
You may choose to hike the Mirador Cumbre for spectacular 360-degree views of the park today. Alternatively, you could jump in the saddle and head out into the plains with the gauchos.
Hike the gorgeous blue Lago Sarmiento, or tour the Geological and Paleontological Park of Baguales and learn about the region's history from its 25-million-year-old fossils. Your adventures are always complete with a tasty picnic lunch from Awasi's chefs.
Today you will take in your final views of the Torres del Paine (for now) and make your way to the local airport for your flight back to Santiago.
Admire the arid landscapes.
