We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.
“I can’t say I really ‘work out,’ but I’m in good shape and am relatively active.”
“I enjoy a good walk or ride, and feel comfortable while on the move.”
“I get moving at least once a week, and don’t mind a little sweat.”
“I get moving a few times per week and enjoy some exertion.”
“I want to feel invigorated each day and going hard is how I like to do that.”
There’s no place like Beaune
To say we know our way around Burgundy, or more specifically the city of Beaune, would be an understatement: we live it every day! With our European headquarters firmly based in this medieval city for decades, we’ve become a part of the social fabric. Unpack once then spend days accompanied by our local friends and experts; we’ll dine on delectable Burgundian fare, travel country paths seemingly made for cycling and ambling, and sample some of the best wine the world over. By the journey’s end, we’re sure to have you feeling like a Beaunois, too.

Day by Day
We’ll kick off our time in Beaune with an introduction to Burgundy wines in the private room of the Maison Champy wine boutique. Suitably educated, a lively dining experience at Caves Madeleine provides us with an exemplary introduction to Burgundian fare.
Head out through the rolling hills of the Côte de Nuits, travelling in style in vintage Citroën 2CVs, for a tasting in the vineyards. Before dinner, we’ll visit the 15thC Hospices de Beaune in the company of a local guide.
Discover the Côte de Beaune as we e-bike over rolling hills and through the vineyards. Enjoy lunch in Puligny-Montrachet before time to explore at leisure in Beaune.
Visit the Beaune Saturday morning market to gather fresh ingredients for a hands-on cooking experience. For our final night, we’ll head to the Marchand-Tawse Winery for a special dinner prepared by Chef Thomas Lecourbe.
This morning after enjoying a final breakfast at your hotel, we will drop you off at the Beaune or Dijon train station, where you can catch a train to Paris or beyond. Bon voyage!
Let us show you our hometown.
L’Hôtel de Beaune
This beautiful hotel is housed in a 19th century home and is ideally located within steps of the shops and restaurants in the historic centre of Beaune. The courtyard is a great spot to unwind over a glass of wine, and the terrace leads to an incredible view over the city’s medieval rooftops. With only eight rooms, we will be the only guests at L’Hôtel, making for a very intimate stay. View hotel website »
Our guides were fabulous. The meetings with locals to hear about wines was an excellent idea—it put the group in deeper contact with the local culture.—Ana Graciela Granato
We never wanted to be the biggest travel company in the world, just the best.
