pure alpine exploration
Whether you’re drawn to lush green valleys or to glaciated peaks, to hand-crafted cowbells or chic shops, to cheese or to chocolate, Switzerland offers an abundance of delights. Feel as though you've experienced a little bit of France, Italy and Germany without crossing one border, fuse an active Alpine lifestyle with the indulgence of top-notch spas and fantastic food and wine, plus world-class art & culture in its vibrant cities. Below are a few of our top experiences in Switzerland to inspire your bespoke, private trip.
Discover the possibilities:
Swiss Riviera & Alpine Walking
Journey from Lake Geneva to high-alpine ridges. Begin in the chic Swiss Riviera before travelling along medieval pathways and through terraced vineyards to the Rhone Valley. Hike manicured mountain landscapes, making good use of the incredible cable car network. Fuel up at alpine huts, where the Swiss love to escape on weekends. Learn about the geological formation of the Alps, the use of alpine flowers for medicinal purposes, and even the secret of Swiss cheesemaking along the way.
Climb peaks with ease as you glide through the Swiss mountains on e-bikes over beautiful winding roads, consistently in awe of the ever-changing landscape. Along the way, meet some local characters, from the alpenhorn player to the cheese farmer and the winemaker, each of whom will share a bit of their journey with yours. Sample delicious cheese and wine and become a chocolate connoisseur as you (somewhat ironically, given the setting) forget to check your watch entirely!
Switzerland Family Adventure
Via easy meadow walks and big-wheeled descents, explore three of Switzerland’s most beautiful mountain villages with your family. Walk the awe-inspiring valley that inspired JRR Tolkein to write The Lord of the Rings as you learn about its real legends and tales, then raft your way down the Lütschine and swim in Lake Brienz. In the meadows above Gstaad, taste the most amazing raclette for lunch as the schwyzerörgeli accordion player fills the air then try your lungs at yodelling.
