Good to know

Biking
The Dutch are experienced cyclists and bike traffic on the cycling paths can be heavy and fast, especially in big cities. We recommend building familiarity with city riding and paying caution to the road rules.

Planning
Crossing these two countries may take just a few hours, but there’s a lot to see. Give yourself enough time to ensure a relaxing holiday.

Weather
Weather in the Netherlands can change quickly, with cool temperatures, occasional rain and wind. We recommend dressing in layers and wearing waterproof gear to stay comfortable.

Time of year
Tulips bloom in April and May, during the spring season, which can be cool and occasionally rainy.
