One of the best ways to explore the ancient country of Jordan is by foot. Venture out on one of the best hikes in Jordan—the mystifying Wadi Ghuweir, a sacred path that was once the hidden trail to Petra. Follow the King’s Highway south from Madaba to Wadi Dana. Spend a couple of days exploring the many wonders of Petra on foot, where we’ll walk down narrow passages, with high cliffs on either side, as the Treasury Building (or Al Khazneh) reveals itself one step at a time. We've scoped the best trails and routes to highlight this small country's massive beauty.
