Explore Ireland’s West Coast on Foot
Ireland's West Coast is steeped in history, with glacial-era geography and millennia of human evolution recorded in the very landscape. Rugged mountains level into lunar landscapes of karst and bog, running right into the Atlantic. The region's natural diversity, Neolithic ruins and pastoral lifestyle breed a character all their own. Hike the Wild Atlantic Way, visit the Cliffs of Moher and explore Connemara National Park, where the stunning terrain unfolds before you. In numerous villages, you’ll walk through and stay in real-life castles, experiencing the true Irish welcome. Linger a while over tea with a local folklorist, as you absorb the rich stories of the land. A foodie tour in the harbour city of Galway offers a taste of local flavours, while our friend, a local farmer, invites you to his sheep farm on the islands’ only fjord. Lucky doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Coast to Countryside Biking
Picture yourself in an Irish postcard, cycling the emerald countryside past imposing Neolithic tombs and stopping for a bite at a local lobster bar. Continue along the Flaggy Shore, a landscape so inspiring that it compelled the great Irish poets Heaney and Yeats to put pen to paper. As you ride through the rocky terrain of The Burren, witness the bloom of wildflowers, their vibrant colours standing out against the rugged stone. Try your hand at baking traditional soda bread, then trace the scenic south coast of Galway towards Spiddal, where you’ll find beautiful local crafts. Tap your foot to the rhythm of local Irish tunes and enjoy a pint of Guinness by the fire at the local pub. Round out your adventure with a visit the Macroom Buffalo Farm and savour the unique taste of Ireland’s buffalo-milk mozzarella. Such is what Irish days are made of.

Fun Adventures for Ye Whole Family
With the music from a trad Irish folk band bouncing off the castle walls, discover the joys of a family trip to Ireland. Bike through The Burren, spot puffins as you hike the Cliffs of Moher and take in the dramatic beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. Experience a falconry lesson at Ireland’s oldest falconry school and rattle the suits of armour in a charming countryside castle. Cycle to Killary Fjord for sea-kayaking followed by fish and chips by the sea. Watch the sheepdogs go through their paces, try your hand at archery and unwind with a spot of fishing. Enjoy a tea with a local storyteller, who will weave tales of Ireland’s myths and legends, and explore crumbling forts with our archaeologist chum. Happy memories are made of this.
