Victoria Falls Island Lodge

Elevated Treehouse Living on the Zambezi River

Propped attentively on the banks of the exclusive Kandahar Island, Victoria Falls Island Lodge is decidedly modern. Contrasted against the swooping wild of the island and its surrounding animal consort, the lodge emanates the vague dream-like quality of that treehouse from your childhood—and yet, this state-of-the-art gem eludes comparison. Suites are raised high on stilts and snake together via a series of elevated wooden platforms; underfoot, intriguing animals casually tend to their daily ministrations. Back in the lodge, attentive service and excellent food (not to mention the aid of a private butler) might just necessitate a pinch.
