How to Get There

You can reach Explora Patagonia in one of two ways, either by connecting through Santiago, Chile or through Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Connecting to Punta Arenas by way of Santiago, Chile

Upon arrival to Santiago de Chile’s International Airport, you must connect to the city of Punta Arenas, approximately three and a half hours away. From Punta Arenas Airport, you will be driven to the lodge by a member of their staff, approximately four and a half hours away and according to a pre-set schedule, with a stop to rest and have lunch.

Connecting to Cerro Castillo by way of El Calafate and Buenos Aires

Upon arrival to Buenos Aires Airport, you must take a connecting three and a half hour-flight to El Calafate. From El Calafate, take a commercial bus or taxi to Cerro Castillo, approximately four hours away. Upon arriving at the border, a staff member will be waiting to drive you to the lodge. 

Activities & Amenities

With over 40 explorations, the lodge covers all areas in the park either on foot, horseback, or by van, providing travellers with the opportunity to discover the landscape however they prefer.

Their explorations, always led by a highly trained guide, take place in groups of eight travellers at most and include walks towards crystal clear waters, woods of lenga trees, hiking to viewpoints and horseback riding through the Park’s pampas (grasslands) and rivers.
