Passionate about ecology and sustainability, Melanie believes in small-scale discovery—connecting travellers with true locals who embody the traditions and culture of the region and know how to have a good time. A New Yorker by birth, she has lived for most of her adult life in Tuscany and thanks to being fully absorbed by the local community and adopting local customs and culture she is often mistaken for Italian. She’s also a storyteller by nature, and is inspired by the story of each traveller she works with to design adventures tailored specifically to them.

Fun Facts

Melanie has been involved with theatre her whole life. Her Bachelor’s degree is in acting and she moonlight as an actress in film and TV.

She lives in Arezzo, the heart of Tuscany, geographical centre of Italy and home to one of B&R’s offices in Europe.

She used to plan VIP destination weddings.
