Trek across Stokksnes Peninsula’s icy wonders, wander through caves of sparkling blue ice, and unwind in the Blue Lagoon’s steamy embrace. Nights bring endless twilight and dancing northern lights—Mother Nature’s version of Netflix bingeing. (Spoiler alert: it’s highly addictive.)

We’ll begin our adventure wandering through the capital, Reykjavik, on a walking tour, listening to stories of Icelandic folklore from a master storyteller. During this evening’s cocktails, we’ll be joined by a special guest who will speak about Iceland’s tumultuous economic history. Then, a fabulous welcome dinner awaits.

A picturesque flight whisks us to the coastal town of Hofn, where we’ll set off to explore the breathtaking Stokksnes Peninsula. After a delicious langoustine lobster lunch, our journey continues with a glacier trek, culminating in an ice cave. Spend time unwinding at the hotel before we gather in the dining room for dinner.

Set out to experience the sights of the mighty Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier. Equipped with crampons, ice axes and our local Icelandic guide, we’ll begin traversing the icy land. Our journey then leads us to the iconic Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon for a leisurely exploration, watching the sunset across Diamond Beach.  

Our journey follows the south coast, with views of Vatnajökull and Skaftafell National Park along the way. We'll continue to Fjaðrárgljúfur where we’ll head out on foot to traverse the rugged terrain. This evening, an expert astronomer will lead a stargazing experience at the hotel’s in-house observatory—in hopes of seeing the elusive Northern Lights.

Our day begins at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the location of the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Explore the park’s awe-inspiring landscapes on foot before unwinding at the Blue Lagoon. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Michelin-starred Moss.

After a fabulous breakfast, we’re off to explore the beauty of the Reykjanes Peninsula-every corner, from the coastal panoramic views to geothermal hot spots is breathtaking. This afternoon, spend time immersed in the Blue Lagoon’s healing waters before we raise a toast to our incredible journey through Iceland. 

Enjoy all that the Blue Lagooon has to offer until it is time to head back to the Keflavik Airport to check in for your international flight.

After a scenic alpine drive from Bad Ragaz, we’ll explore the villages of Upper Engadine on a peaceful winter walk and dive into local culture with a guided introduction to the region’s Romansch roots. Then it’s off to Pontresina, where we’ll settle in and toast to the adventure ahead over a refined welcome dinner.

Ride by horse-drawn sleigh into the car-free wonder of Val Fex, followed by a snowshoe or winter hike and a hearty alpine lunch. Then unwind at the Grand Hotel Kronenhof before ascending by funicular to Muottas Muragl for a wonderful dinner with sweeping mountain views.

Celebrate Chalandamarz in Sils, where children parade in bells and colour to welcome spring in a centuries-old alpine tradition. With a local historian, we'll embark on a walking tour of Sils and witness the magical festival. After lunch, hit the snowy trails with expert instructors for a cross-country ski session before enjoying a relaxed evening back in Pontresina.&nbsp;

Glide across snowy trails and frozen lakes on a fat-tire biking adventure from Pontresina to St. Moritz, surrounded by dazzling alpine scenery. Enjoy lunch in town, explore the local museum or luxury shops, then savour a free evening to dine wherever inspiration strikes.

Hike or snowshoe to the striking Morteratsch Glacier, then reward your efforts with fondue in a cozy converted cable car. Spend the afternoon skiing, skating, or soaking in the spa, before capping it all off with a celebratory final dinner in grand alpine style.

Norway in winter is basically a snow globe—and on this trip, you get to play inside. Mush your own team of huskies, snowmobile across the silent Finnmark plateau, then warm up fireside at a wilderness lodge that’s heavy on hygge, light on cell signal. With luck, the northern lights will crash the party—no filter, just pure Arctic magic.

Nature's Light Show

Upon arrival in Alta, Norway's High Arctic, a driver will take you to Sorrisniva Wilderness Lodge. Explore the impressive ice sculptures at the lodge's Igloo Hotel on a tour with the founder, and enjoy a welcome cocktail served in an ice glass. Later, learn about the magical phenomenon of the Auroa Borealis before we sit down for a wonderful 3-course welcome dinner.

We’ll head to the Northern Lights Cathedral and learn about the exhibit inside with a local scientist.&nbsp;Later, we’ll meet our Sami guides, the indigenous community of Finnmark, who will share insight into their vibrant culture. Enjoy another fabulous dinner before we spend a night in Sorrisniva's Igloo Hotel, built annually from ice and snow by local artisans.&nbsp;&nbsp;

After an early sauna session, we'll meet our snowmobiles and traverse through a snowy landscape adorned with forests and frozen lakes. Pause for lunch at a mountain lodge, then we’re off to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon. This evening, an expert guide will lead us to the best spot for a chance to spot the northern lights.

After a leisurely start to our day, we’ll try our hand at ice-sculping in a session led by an expert ice artisan. Later, we’ll join a dog-sledding adventure with our friend Trine and her team of Alaskan huskies. Glide through the Nordic Forest alongside the Alta River and end the day with a rustic dinner around the campfire.

Take a guided snowshoe hike with breathtaking views and a cozy bonfire stop. Indulge in the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi before a celebratory final night, clinking glasses with your B&amp;R Guide to toast your Arctic journey.

Enjoy one last breakfast in the remoteness of the Alta Valley before we take you to Alta Airport for your onward travels.

This trip picks up at Alta Airport, so there is no need to add additional nights in Alta. If you have extra time, consider extending your trip with a visit to Oslo.
