We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Vietnam & Cambodia: a magical combination in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is as charming and picturesque as the first time we visited here more than a decade ago. More importantly, the people remain the same: gracious, warm, and infinitely inviting. Explore this region with bike rides past perfectly kept rice paddies in central Vietnam. Then, enjoy the vibrant culture of Cambodia and the famous temple of Angkor Wat, visiting these marvels of the ancient world by foot and by bike. There is an abundance of history to learn here and to top it all off, the jungle scenery is straight from a picture book. (*The activities on our Cambodia & Vietnam Family Biking trip are designed for children age 12 years and older. Price is inclusive of $395 internal flights.)
