- Difficulty Level
Level 1: Occasional
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain with a few small hills—all very manageable for people trying their first biking trip.
Walking – 6-10 km (4-6 mi.) a day on country lanes, footpaths and coastal or forest trails, all on relatively flat terrain, perhaps with an occasional hill.
Level 2: Recreational
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day over terrain that’s relatively flat but will include inclines and the occasional climb or two.
Walking – 8-12 km (5-7 mi.) a day over relatively flat terrain, with occasional steeper climbs.
Level 3: Enthusiast
Biking – 40-50 km (25-30 mi.) a day in gently rolling countryside, with occasional longer climbs to points that are well worth the effort.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over rolling terrain on a variety of surfaces. Most days, one or two steeper climbs to spectacular viewpoints or places of interest.
Level 4: Avid
Biking – Roughly 50 km (30 mi.) a day in consistently rolling countryside, with repeated climbs and longer options available.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) over terrain that varies between rolling and hilly, with a few steeper climbs.
Level 5: Expert
Biking – 50-60 km (30-45 mi.) a day over both level and tougher, hillier terrain with multiple 100 km (62 mi.) options. The routes are designed for avid cyclists and include plenty of chances to push yourself.
Walking – 11-15 km (7-10 mi.) a day over fairly hilly terrain offering lots of challenges. Routes are along high meadow paths and/or well-maintained cliffside or alpine trails, with a few steep ascents to make you feel invigorated.

Day by Day
We set forth from the farming village of Savigny and get familiar with our e-bikes before lunch. Visit famous winemaking villages such as Epesses or St-Saphorin before dinner tonight at a gastronomic restaurant.
Today's ride takes us along the Rhone river to the beautiful town of Aigle and then back to the castle of Chillon. From there, we will gaze at the Swiss Riviera as we make our way back to Vevey by steamboat.
Arrive in the town of Gruyères (like the cheese) then, ride through the stunning “Pays d’Enhaut” highlands to sample the region’s fare in an alpine buvette with some lively entertainment.
Climb the famous Alpine pass 'Col du Pillon' (good thing we’re on e-bikes). From here, we’ll take a gondola ride up to see the Tsanfleuron Glacier up close and admire the breathtaking views over the Alps.
For our last day together, we journey to the green pastures of the Emmental: a patchwork of farms and winding little routes. After a farmhouse lunch, head into Bern to wander its charming pedestrian centre.
After breakfast, we’ll arrange a taxi at your leisure to the Bern train station. It is time to say au revoir et bon voyage!
Pedal past alpine meadows in the Swiss Alps.

I wish there was a higher rating than excellent. It was the trip of a lifetime. The electric assist bikes open up a whole range of bike trips that we couldn't have otherwise done. It allowed us to enjoy the spectacular scenery while working only as hard as we wanted.—BJ Hess
Just after the 5 km uphill, we arrived at a local farm with a spectacular view and there were 4 or 5 people singing and playing local instruments just for us. The place was made of wood, a few cows with bells on their necks stood by and on the other side, the beautiful mountains felt nearly touchable.—Fernanda Aufiero
From the vineyards of Lavaux to the peaks of Interlaken, glory in Alpine landscapes while astride two wheels—without breaking a sweat. The secret? E-bikes, which provide an electric boost when needed.National Geographic Traveler
While our daily routes average 40 to 50 km (25 to 31 mi.) daily, e-bike technology brings the peaks within everybody’s reach. The Swiss hills are indeed alive though, and the more time you’ve spent in the saddle the more you will enjoy the ride.
