Provence Self-Guided Walking

Self-guided trips combine the hallmarks of any B&R itinerary (think excellent hotels, amazing local connections and expertly planned routes) with the freedom of pacing each day exactly the way you like.

Provence at your Pace

Strolling through the south of France doesn’t require a chaperone – just years of planning to find hidden trails to ancient hilltop villages, and charming hotels with pools where you can cool off when you’re done. Local connections help too, like at Domaine de Marie, where our friends host you for a tasting and exquisite dinner made from just-picked Provençal produce.

Level 3

This trip is rated Enthusiast. Walk mostly on gently rolling terrain, although you'll tackle the occasional steep climb or descent. As the terrain is often rocky, footwear with good ankle support is essential. On average, you will walk 7-15 km (4-10 mi) each day. The option to call a taxi to make the walks shorter is always an option.
