We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Exploring the Galapagos by sea
Found some 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the Galapagos are truly a gift of Mother Nature. Other-worldly-looking flora and gentle creatures paired with crystal-blue waters and crimson cliffs offer an experience not found anywhere else on the globe. We’ll venture deep into the land of Darwin to uncover these unspoiled landscapes, navigating by means of kayak, panga boats and our own two feet, while our expert naturalist guides share the importance and protection behind this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our floating hotel, the luxurious M/Y Grace, allows us to explore the area in style and get a different perspective of the islands while travelling between them with ease.
Please note that space in the Galápagos Islands is very limited and fills up quickly. To secure space, it’s best to book at least one year in advance.

Day by Day
Spend some time exploring the port town of Guayaquil or enjoying the amenities at the hotel. Your adventure begins tomorrow!
Set sail aboard the My/Grace as we travel along a trail on an outcrop of islands, keeping our eyes peeled for the blue footed-boobies known to nest here, before gearing up to snorkel with sea lions!
Explore the Punta Suarez on Hood Island and its astounding variety of wildlife. A few steps inland, we’ll stumble upon marine iguanas, Galapagos doves, cactus finch, and mockingbirds!
Head to Floreana Island to discover its fascinating past. We’ll venture through its underworld via a lava tube that descends deep into the earth and back toward the ocean, allowing us to swim in a subterranean grotto below the tide.
Arrive in Santa Cruz and the small port town of Puerto Ayora. After a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, it’s on to the Santa Cruz Highlands where we’ll witness wild tortoises in their natural setting.
Visit a lagoon often frequented by pink flamingos and great blue herons. Then, making our way to the exclusive Chinese Hat Island, we’ll keep on the lookout for fiery-coloured crabs and curious lava lizards.
Spend time at the geologic center on colourful Jervis Island, noted for its deep-red, sandy beach inhabited by sea lions and its scarlet cliffs. We’ll board our kayaks and be greeted by sea turtles as we paddle along.
Witness the towering spearheaded obelisk known as Pinnacle Rock at Bartolomé Island. We’ll climb to the island’s summit, where we’ll be met by spectacular views of Santiago Island and Sullivan Bay to the west.
Visit Black Turtle Cove, where we’ll navigate the mangroves from aboard our dinghy. Then, we sail to nearby Baltra Island for the short crossing to shore, where a bus awaits to bring us to the airport.
Take a snooze in the island sun.

There were too many moments on this trip to pick one that was the most memorable, honestly. Each day seemed to surpass the one before it. And being able to stay together as a family in the Galapagos was absolutely the best thing for us!— Gail Burke
We never wanted to be the biggest travel company in the world, just the best.

In the Galapagos, there are areas of uneven footing and dirt trails—but its focus is not on covering distance. Transportation to and from the day’s event is provided, be prepared for both dry and wet-landings, and have shoes with ample ankle support for bumpy pathways.
