2014 Photo Contest:
See the Winners!

BY Around The World

Each year, we ask our intrepid travellers to participate in our annual Traveller Photo Contest and, year in and year out, we find ourselves absolutely blown away by their submissions. (I know, I know: you’d think we’d expect it by now.)

This year we tasked a panel of experts with the unenviable job of selecting just three winners — one each from the categories Faces, Places and Moments — from nearly 150 stunning entrants.

We were so overwhelmed by both the quality and quantity of submissions this year that we even added a bonus Staff Picks category. As a result, four lucky winners will receive a $1,500 trip credit with B&R.

Congratulations to our winners Marilyn Lokadoo, Susan Ball, Ashley Harris and Maggie Hunt. A HUGE Thank You also goes out to the dozens of travellers who submitted such stunning images from around the world!

Check out the slideshow below to see this year’s winning shots, and don’t forget to pack your camera before hitting the slow road: our 2015 Traveller Photo Contest is now on!

Marilyn Lokadoo | Morocco
Marilyn Lokadoo took this great shot of one of our desert guides (and his trusty stead) in Morocco.

Moments

Susan Ball | Myanmar
Susan Ball captured the sun as it set below Inle Lake in Myanmar.

Places

Ashley Harris | Myanmar
Also in Myanmar, Ashley Harris perfectly framed this shot of the famous hot hair balloons hovering above ancient Bagan.

Staff Pick

Maggie Hunt | Puglia
We simply couldn’t leave out this great shot by Maggie Hunt, which so beautifully explains why we love riding through Puglia.
