Vietnam Walking Tours

Imperial Flavour

Watch the sun rise in Hoi An and the sun set in the Forbidden City. In between, take a truly marvelous stroll through one of the most beautiful places anywhere. Quiet tree-lined country paths lead us to incredible beaches, banana plantations, thriving local markets and the occasional imperial tomb. Mealtimes present us with beef in lalot leaves, pho galore and private cooking classes. Bedtime comes swiftly after a dip in the pool or a relaxing treatment at a world-class spa. Vietnam spoils us.

Signature Hotels: This trip uses premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they've had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.

Day by Day

Having explored Hanoi by cyclo, we head south for our first walk on the outskirts of Hue. Relax this evening over dinner in the hotel.

Board our private riverboat and cruise up the Perfume River to the tomb of Minh Mang. Dine tonight with Royal descendants.

Explore Hué, the Imperial Forbidden City before heading onto Hoi An to visit the historic shops and markets that dominate this town, and stop to get measured up for some tailor-made clothes.

Walk a great trail that leads us past rice paddies, small villages, and plenty of cheerful kids. Take your turn in the kitchen with a fun cooking lesson, riverside.

Arrive in Nha Trang and walk past emerald rice paddies and the Cai River. Sip Champagne from the privacy of your boat-access-only beach villa as you take in an unforgettable sunset.

Indulge in luxury at the Six Senses Spa (this is a vacation, remember). Stretch those legs with an optional challenging hike through jungle with some climbs.

Enjoy lunch today with a local friend in rural Nha Trang, before heading on to Ho Chi Minh City. Take to the streets tonight and choose from one of the city's many excellent restaurants.

Take a private speedboat along the Saigon River. Visit the Cu Chi tunnels and then enjoy a rambling walk through luscious countryside, then back for cocktails and a final night party.

Enjoy a farewell breakfast at the hotel and tam biêt in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. Or continue your exploration of the region with our Cambodia Post-Trip.

“As we walked, our most memorable moments were those that involved interaction with the people we encountered.  My husband, a teacher, was thrilled to interact with school children, and we were invited to share a beer in one house and look at the bonsai garden in another! The guides on the trip were knowledgeable and forthcoming, and the occasional surprises were a blast! There was little more you could ask for from B&R.”
