Spoil your Senses in Spain
From vibrant Pamplona to award-winning vineyards, the ever-changing landscapes of this part of Spain are often as dramatic and inspiring as the hotels you'll find here. The combination of cutting-edge design juxtaposed with old-world, rural living makes for amazing results. Whilst the wines of La Rioja are world-renowned, less well-known but equally as impressive is the cuisine, which is sure to delight. Mix in some truly spectacular and varied riding—and the draw to this region should be obvious to all.

We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.
“I can’t say I really ‘work out,’ but I’m in good shape and am relatively active.”
“I enjoy a good walk or ride, and feel comfortable while on the move.”
“I get moving at least once a week, and don’t mind a little sweat.”
“I get moving a few times per week and enjoy some exertion.”
“I want to feel invigorated each day and going hard is how I like to do that.”

Day by Day
Ride through the heart of the verdant, untouched Basque hills in Navarra. Enter Pamplona through the Pilgrim’s Gate of the Santiago Trail, then stroll in Hemingway’s footsteps (and the bulls’ hoofprints!) in its lively pedestrian centre. Tonight we’ll have a casual and festive dinner in the private gastronomical society of our friend Rosemarie.
Ride through spectacular foothills with breathtaking distant villages before arriving to a tasting and lunch at a highly acclaimed winery in the province of Navarra. During cocktails take a turn at the ancient sport of Jai Alai, or basque handball, a sporting tradition synonymous with the Basques.
Enjoy stunning rides through the rolling vineyards of La Rioja. Stop for lunch at III Estacion Wine Bar, owned by Riojan wine author Benjamin Romero of Contador winery. Enjoy a private dinner this evening at Remelluri winery, the views are as authentic as the wine!
Ride through the coattails of the Sierra Cantabria past the ever-impressive Ysios Winery. You have the option to enjoy the spa, visit the wine making facilities of the hotel or challenge yourself with a ride up the mountain to pass over the Sierra, looping back down in the valley.
Ride over the Ebro river to the tiniest town for an unlikely casual Michelin-starred lunch. Our final evening together will be enjoyed at a winery close to our hotel that blends innovative wine techniques with the traditions of Rioja.
Enjoy a final breakfast together before saying our goodbyes, then transfer to the cultural city of Bilbao.
