We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.
These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.
“I can’t say I really ‘work out,’ but I’m in good shape and am relatively active.”
“I enjoy a good walk or ride, and feel comfortable while on the move.”
“I get moving at least once a week, and don’t mind a little sweat.”
“I get moving a few times per week and enjoy some exertion.”
“I want to feel invigorated each day and going hard is how I like to do that.”
Uncover New Flavours in Lima
When deciding where to host an exceptional culinary adventure, B&R Trip Designers and the editors at SAVEUR quickly agreed that Peru hit all the marks. Having been recently awarded World´s Leading Culinary Destination by the World Travel Awards, and home to Lima, the food capital of South America, Peru has emerged as a popular destination for fantastic cuisine. From cutting edge restaurants to traditional tastes of Peru’s exceptional culinary legacy—like an amazing array of ceviche, aji pepper-spiced stews, Andean specialties and one-of-a-kind Amazonian finds that can’t be found anywhere else on the planet—there’s nowhere we’d rather be eating right now in South America.

Day by Day
Upon arrival at the Jorge Chavez International Airport you’ll be met by your driver & guide and taken to the hotel for the evening. Typically international flights arrive late in the evening so it is best to take tonight to rest and prepare for the days ahead.
This morning, start with a tour of the Larco Museum—one of the finest collections of pre-Columbian art in Peru, it's sure to amaze regardless of your artistic knowledge. After a wander around the local market, enjoy some traditional flavours at La Picanteria Restaurant. Tonight, chef Mitsuharu Tsumura will welcome you to his restaurant, Maido, for an exceptional Nikkei dinner experience
Take a visit to the local fish market where you will experience the hectic daily activity while admiring the astonishing variety of fish coming from the extremely rich Peruvian Sea. Spend the afternoon sampling Peruvian Cacao with some local Pisco followed by a fantastic dinner at Astrid & Gaston restaurant with some special guests (be sure to bring a camera!).
After a short flight to Cusco, head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After an open air lunch in front of the lake, drive towards Moray to explore what once served as an experimental agricultural station for the development of different strains of crops. Dinner tonight will be at Sol y Luna’s Killa Wasi Restaurant.
This morning, walk the Inca-Ruins’ uphill steps—a steep ascent offering stunning views of the valley as a final reward to the effort. After, you'll participate in a Pachamanca, an ancient Peruvian cooking technique using wood-fire heated stones. This afternoon, you´ll take a short drive to the house of one of our Peruvian friends, where we’ve prepared a special surprise!
Admire the dramatically changing landscapes of Peru on your way towards Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided exploration of the citadel and then walk to the Inca Bridge or perhaps hike the trail to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate). Tonight, enjoy a final farewell dinner.
Today, your guide and private transport will be waiting in Ollantaytambo to begin the drive back to Cusco, where your guide can show you around and recommend some shopping in the area. Then, you'll be transported to the airport where you'll board your flight to Lima and beyond. Adios!

Travelling with B&R is what being alive all about. It's action packed and incredibly invigorating with so many personal highlights that it's hard to single out just one.— Andrew Crowe
While traveling abroad with loved ones usually brings trepidation and more tiffs than nuevo soles I have in my wallet, B&R has made everything happen so effortlessly that I’m beginning to wonder how I ever voyaged any other way.STYLE
We never wanted to be the biggest travel company in the world, just the best.
— George Butterfield
This trip ranges between occasional and recreational. Your daily walks will take place on cobbled city streets, grassy terraced hillsides and along the winding footpaths of Machu Picchu. We travel throughout the Sacred Valley at altitudes between 2,900 and 3,200 m (9,500 to 11,000 ft.). You may find that the effect of the altitude will make the walks require more effort than they would at lower elevations. Expect some uneven stairs on hikes in the ruins as well as some sheer drop offs in places.
“I can’t say I really work out, but I do walk a couple of times a week at home.”
Country lanes, footpaths and coastal or forest trails, all on relatively flat terrain, perhaps with an occasional hill.Read more on our Activity Levels
