Normandy Bike Tours

History Comes Alive

Though every region of Europe boasts a long history, Normandy has been deeply shaped by two watershed moments that are pillars of European history and culture: the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and the Allied landing on June 6, 1944. Discovering this region is like turning the pages of a history book while riding through lush fields, along white sand beaches, past quaint thatched cottages and ancient churches; the combination of these elements has created in Normandy a unique region. The locals speak of their love for the land as they speak of their attraction to the sea—a feeling you will share as we bike the Channel coast, pass historic beaches and visit the magical Mont Saint-Michel in Brittany.

Signature

We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.

Bistro

These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Accolades

"Our trip surpassed our expectations. We expected a great biking trip, which we experienced. We did not anticipate that we would laugh as much as we bonded with our travel group on the rides and during meals; that we would learn as much about the French culture and history… and that this would all take place in strikingly beautiful and varied locations."
