Niagara Bike Tour

Experience Remarkable Niagara

With rolling hills full of sun-dappled vineyards and orchards, and myriad idyllic forest paths to explore, we decided it was time to introduce our travellers to the bounty in our own backyard that is the Niagara region. Every day on this Niagara bike tour brings a delightful new experience, from picnics with winemakers featuring the superb local cuisine to tastings of the renowned ice wines that first introduced Canadian wines to the international spotlight. The colourful colonial history of the region meets innovative winemaking, and we meet charming winemakers as we discover the spirit of Southern Ontario’s wine country and the dramatic escarpment that frames it.

B&R’s newest way to travel! This itinerary is one of our new locally supported, private trips. We've applied the hallmarks that we’re known for to our Niagara bike tour: great hotels, friendly and talented local guides plus memorable experiences, but it’s just your group and on the dates that work best for you.

Day by Day

Enjoy an afternoon of biking and wine tasting on “the Bench.” Take part in a private lesson on Niagara’s appellations before sampling the region’s top varietals. Later, bike to Tawse Winery for a private tour and on to a tasting at Cave Spring Cellars before dinner at the Inn’s award-winning restaurant.

Drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake to bike the flatter vineyard paths and stop at wineries such as Inniskillin, famous for its award-winning Icewine. Visit the sustainable Stratus Winery and spend the afternoon wandering through historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, home to bakeries, tree-covered courtyard cafés and quaint shops.

Ride the Niagara Parkway with views across to the U.S. side of Fort Niagara State Park. Arrive to Niagara Falls and either bike or drive to the Ravine winery, also a casual and delicious restaurant specializing in their own charcuterie. Tonight, enjoy one of the many choices for dinner in charming Niagara-on-the-Lake.

After enjoying a relaxing and final breakfast at the inn, you can head back to Toronto to catch your flight home or continue on to your next Ontario destination. Bon voyage!
