Holland Holland Biking

Where Everything’s an Art Form

Bike the farmlands, dunes and polders of the North Sea coast—immortalized in the works of the Dutch masters en route to Leiden, birthplace of Rembrandt. Windmills appear almost magically, and quaint cities hundreds of years old beg to be explored. In springtime, the tulips of Keukenhof Gardens bombard the eyes and nose, while The Hague hums with café traffic. Even the food is a work of art: freshly shucked oysters and a Michelin two-star meal at Manoir Inter Scaldes. It’s a masterpiece for every sense.

Holland Biking is a signature B&R Biking trip—expertly guided, small groups, premium hotels.

Tour the popular Keukenhof Gardens and ride through colourful Dutch bulb fields while our local guide tells us everything we need to know about tulips.

Bike to Leiden, a beautiful university town situated on the Rhine and the birthplace of Rembrandt, for a day of exploration. Warm up for dinner with a jenever (gin) tasting in town.

Ride through the gorgeous Groene Hart of Holland, past lambs and cottages. Explore Gouda and St. Jans church, famed for its stained-glass windows. Detour to a charming silversmith town, or soak in the hotel’s Jacuzzi tub.

Visit a local cheese farm where Ineke will show us how to make the famous Gouda cheese. Ride through villages and along canals to Kinderdijk’s iconic 19 windmills. Savour a Dutch-style picnic lunch aboard the Vrolijke Visser (“Happy Fisherman”) while marveling at the ingenuity by which the Dutch keep the sea at bay.

Visit Yerseke, the centre of the Dutch oyster and mussel trade and the beautiful village of Goes. Cap off the week with a Michelin two-starred dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Enjoy a farewell breakfast at the hotel before your departure home and tot ziens in Kruiningen.
