Hotels:
Signature

Signature

We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.

Bistro

These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

Hotels

Casa Turire

Casa Turire is styled on a traditional plantation house building, nestled in the foothills of the Turrialba valley and bordered by the Angostura lake. Rooms are spacious and traditionally designed in fitting with the colonial heritage and the attractive pool provides a welcome relief from a day’s activity. The Turrialba region is for adventure seekers where some of the country’s best riding and rafting can be found. View hotel website »

Arenal Nayara, La Fortuna de San Carlos

Nayara is a peaceful retreat to escape and unwind in rustic luxurious bungalows immersed in tropical rainforest gardens that line the foothills of Arenal Volcano. Each spacious casita benefits from a private garden with outdoor shower, Jacuzzi and terrace to gaze out over the National Park. Facilities include a full-service Spa, Altamira Restaurant, Sushi Bar, Nostalgia Wine Bar, outdoor pool and Wi-Fi. View hotel website »

Hotel Punta Islita, Guanacaste

We chose the sophisticated Punta Islita for our Costa Rican adventure because they share our love of contrasts. Where else would you find a jungle retreat on the Pacific that boasts tennis courts, a spa and an infinity pool? The outdoor dining area is covered by a thatched roof and features elegant international cuisine. Best of all, you can listen to the sounds of the rain forest as you sway in a hammock on the terrace of your luxurious room. View hotel website »
