Day by Day
Drive to your stunning coastal hideaway in the Cinque Terre. Take the afternoon to unwind and stretch your legs with a light stroll around the hotel.
Wander the Azure Blue Path linking cliffside towns. Explore the terraced hillsides, olive groves and vineyards feasting on incredible sea views along the way.
Hike from Levanto to Vè Mountain to enjoy the beautiful pine-wood and holm oak. Visit the S. Antonio Monastery to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the entire coast.
Visit the spectacular Leaning Tower in Pisa and travel on to Florence for a guided tour of the city and the historic square, Piazza del Duomo, a colorful riot of inlaid marble and stones.
Hop the museum line for an insightful look at Michelangelo’s famed David and then join a local chocolatier in his lab for a chance to create (and taste, of course) his fine formula.
Explore the Galileo museum and tinker with reconstructions of Galileo’s ancient machines. Visit the boutiques and shops of Florence concluding at the Gucci Museum.
Hop on the Frecciarossa and travel to Rome’s historic center to take an introductory tour of the city’s fountains and squares by foot.
Explore the Vatican’s museums and the Sistine Chapel and stroll through an open-air market, sampling freshly made items and witnessing firsthand how pizza is made.
Spend the morning exploring the exquisite Galleria Borghese followed by a lingering stroll through its surrounding 19th century gardens – the second largest park in Rome.
Visit the legendary Colosseum and Catacombs and a walk along the 2,400-year-old Appian Way.
Farewells in the morning and drive to the Fiumicino International Airport to catch your international flight. Buon Viaggio!

This trip is rated as Moderate. Hiking in the Cinque Terre will be more challenging. Due to the rugged coastline, many of the walks involve climbing steep coastal paths, with lengthy descents into picturesque villages. The terrain varies from dirt tracks to winding stone staircases. Florence and Rome will be easygoing with city strolling and other amusing diversions. Suitable for most ages and abilities, with some opportunities for extended walks or other optional activities.
