Spain Bike Tours

Exotic El Andaluz

Out on the edge of Europe, long a cultural crucible with phenomenal Moorish architecture and laid-back Spanish friendliness, Andalucia quickens the senses and makes even a café con leche thrilling. The perched white towns, sun-dappled plazas and stunning rocky valleys make for thrilling cycling, with beauty at every turn in the road. With endless olive and orange groves, shimmering fields of wheat and jewel-like gardens, this region lives simply, yet incredibly well. Witness the art of carving a jamon iberico, sip sweet Jerez and let the wonder of Andalucia wash over you.

Trip Details

We use premium hotels that are unique expressions of the region. Often they’ve had a previous life as a monastery or a castle, but in every case they offer an exceptionally comfortable stay.

These are stylish 4-star properties that offer a casual and comfortable stay. Often without a 24-hour concierge or room service, they tend to be smaller family-run hotels that are perfect for the region.

“I can’t say I really ‘work out,’ but I’m in good shape and am relatively active.”

“I enjoy a good walk or ride, and feel comfortable while on the move.”

“I get moving at least once a week, and don’t mind a little sweat.”

“I get moving a few times per week and enjoy some exertion.”

“I want to feel invigorated each day and going hard how I like to do that.”

Surrounded by hundreds of acres of olive trees, it is indeed fit for a King (Juan Carlos has stayed here a few times). Its plush surroundings include archery and skeet shooting range, tennis courts, an outdoor pool, a fitness room and massage and spa services. View hotel website »

Activity Level

You’ve heard it before, but it’s true, the natural beauty of the region is great in part due to it’s rolling terrain and sierras! So needless to say, flat biking, you will not find on this trip. However, we’ve left the more challenging parts for the average rider as long options. Roads are well-paved and lightly-trafficked in parts, allowing for confident use of any bike type. Due to the distance covered from start to finish of the trip, shuttles are required most days; none is longer than an hour, however, they allow us to ride in the best and most beautiful parts of the countryside!

The Bikes

You can't enjoy a great biking trip without a really great bike. On this trip you'll be riding a customized hybrid or a racing bike with drop bars. We also equip you with handlebar bag, helmet and water bottle.

“Travelling with B&R is an over-the-top experience. It seems that every moment from biking in the breathtaking countryside to the luxury hotels, the food, the wine, the other travellers, and the excellent guides—all are the most memorable. The hardest part of the trip is the return to reality!”
