You’re never too young to travel

Generally speaking, we structure family bike rides in the mornings, with alternate age-appropriate kids’ activities each afternoon—arts and crafts, fencing, gelato-making… you name it. Activities and earlier meals for the kids are organized most evenings, and nighttime babysitting can be arranged at travellers’ expense. The important thing to remember is that these trips have been crafted by B&R trip designers who have travelled extensively with their own kids. They know how to make family travel fun, exciting, engaging and always safe.

Best. Field Trips. Ever!

Generally on 8+ trips, mornings are reserved for activities together, while in the afternoons we give the kids a welcome break from their parents. This means starting the day biking or walking as a family, while in the afternoon kids take part in special events designed specifically for them.

Although itineraries are planned with the kids in mind (like earlier meals for children), both sides are always free to mix it up: older kids may want to dine with their parents, children are welcome to take part in all adult events, rides and walks, and naturally adults can always join in any of the kids’ activities (which seems to happen a lot!). Our 8+ trips have a higher ratio of guides and vans than adult trips to make days more flexible.

Teens, ’tweens and in-betweens

Our trips for children over 12 are similar in structure to our 8+ trips—the main activity is either biking or walking, with both time together and apart. Events are selected to appeal to teens, with meals often a bit shorter. (If you have teens, you’ll know why!) Typical 12+ trips feature include tweaks such as fewer wine tastings and more non-biking/walking options like kayaking or horseback riding. These trips also have extra guides and vans for added support.
