For five adventure-packed days, you and your kids have the run of the place: biking the famed Crete Senesi along gorgeous, carefully selected routes suitable for all ages, staying at top-notch hotels that welcome rather than just tolerate children, taking part in hands-on pizza- and gelato-making workshops and sampling vino nòbile with an expert (that last one is, of course, just for the folks). Day 1 Cycle through the glorious Val di Chiana, the largest valley in the Apennines
Day 2 Kids catch a private falconry demonstration at the Mèdici fortress while parents take a walking tour of Cortona with a local artist
Day 3 Pedal to Pienza via gently rolling hills and olive groves
Day 4 Explore the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, famous for its colourful frescoes, before lunch at our friend Silvia’s farm
Day 5 Join local guide Lucia on an enlightening walking tour of Siena and the Piazza del Campo while the kids learn to make gelato with an expert
Day 6 Breakfast in Siena, then arrivederci in Florence
