Island Odyssey
As is custom with B&R, we take the roads less travelled. But on this journey along the Dalmatian Coast it is more a matter of taking the islands less pedaled and nosing about those coves less explored. Aboard our private yacht, that is—the five-cabin, four-masted gulet, Andjeo. This all-wooden vessel complete with a crew of four will serve as our luxurious base camp for our Dalmatian Coast Biking trip, a week of unforgettable island hopping through a region that remains largely undiscovered. By day we ride spectacular coastal roads and cross-island routes, stroll about ancient towns, and board our vessel for afternoon voyages. From Dubrovnik to Korcula, Vis, the trendy port of Hvar, and on to Split, we encounter an unforgettable land in a fashion that few will ever experience.
Please note that the Aug 4-11 and Sep 29 - Oct 6 departures have a different itinerary—please call for details.
Day 1 Explore the medieval city of Dubrovnik, then onto Konavle Valley where we saddle up on our bikes
Day 2 Hilly ride along the Peljesac Peninsula to Trstenik, then cruise to Korcula Town
Day 3 Starting in Korcula Town we can opt for an out and back ride to Racisce and/or take in Lumbarda
Day 4 Drive to Pupnat and ride a remote route to Brna where our gulet awaits. Slow afternoon cruise and onwards to Vis
Day 5 Stunning coastal ride on the humble and little seen island of Vis
Day 6 The stylish port of Hvar Town awaits exploration. Pedal to Stari Grad and relax in the afternoon
Day 7 Riding on Brac—pronounced “bratch”—in the morning with a late afternoon lunch on board and an evening meal on the island
Day 8 We cross the Brac Strait to Split where you may head straight to the airport or enjoy a longer stay

The Andjeo, Croatia
Our accommodations for the week are aboard the luxurious five-cabin gulet, the Andjeo. Flying under the Croatian flag, this all-wooden vessel is nimble enough to venture into those coves and ports that other larger cruise ships are unable to access, while still providing full comfort and the attentive service of the four-person crew.

Moderate to Challenging
This trip is rated Moderate to Challenging. The dramatic topography of the Dalmatian islands that make them spectacular to look at also makes them hilly to bike. With the exception of the first day, every day has at least one climb, and most days have several. We have sought to limit the daily distances as much as possible, with long options for the more avid riders. For the most part the majority, if not all, of the riding is in the morning and early afternoon, in order to beat the high heat of the region.
