Biodiversity for the Whole Family
Focusing on outdoor fun and the country’s immense biodiversity, Costa Rica might just be our most diverse and active With the Kids destination. We can take you to two entirely different areas of the country: the spectacular Osa Peninsula, where our hotel is surrounded by 200 hectares of natural reserves; and gorgeous Guanacaste, where the Nicoya Peninsula provides just the right seaside finale. But you don’t just see it all—we make sure you do it all, too. Hike with naturalists through primary rain forests, rappel down waterfalls, take surfing lessons, go ziplining and kayaking, explore the local arts community, encourage your kids to count all 117 species of reptiles on the Osa Peninsula… then retire to the spa. Phew!
Here’s a sample of what you can expect on your custom-designed Bespoke Costa Rica With the Kids adventure. Intrigued? Contact a Bespoke Trip Planner for further details.
Day 1 Fly to the Osa Peninsula and jump aboard a boat to spot dolphin pods and migrating humpback whales
Day 2 Sip mango daiquiris by candlelight in front of a majestic Pacific sunset
Day 3 Walk through the Osa Peninsula’s jungle in search of monkeys, three-toed sloths, toucans and more
Day 4 Visit Costa Rica’s “wild west” on Punta Islita
Day 5 Go horseback riding on the beach near Guanacaste, then indulge in a honey-and-milk massage
Day 6 Breakfast in Guanacaste, then adios in San José

Casa Turire, Turrialba
We love the early morning view of the lake from this relaxing, family-owned hotel, recently built in the plantation style. Surrounded by hills covered in coffee, sugar cane and macadamia nuts, we find ourselves conveniently located near biological reserves, incredibly diverse flora and fauna, and some of the best rafting in the area.

Bosque del Cabo Rainforest Lodge, Osa Peninsula
Perched 150 metres above the Pacific Ocean and Golfo Dulce, Bosque del Cabo is the quintessential “roughing it” luxury hotel. Surrounded by 200 hectares of natural reserve with frequent visits from monkeys, sloths and scarlet macaws, Bosque del Cabo is the ideal location for exploring the Pacific Ocean, Golfo Dulce and Corcovado National Park.

Hotel Punta Islita, Guanacaste
We chose the sophisticated Punta Islita for our Costa Rican adventure because they share our love of contrasts. Where else would you find a jungle retreat on the Pacific that boasts tennis courts, a spa and an infinity pool? The outdoor dining area is covered by a thatched roof and features elegant international cuisine. Best of all, you can listen to the sounds of the rain forest as you sway in a hammock on the terrace of your luxurious room.
